History
Timber frame is a method of building that has evolved over hundreds of years into the advanced techniques that we use at Ecoframes today.
The ‘platform construction’ technique was introduced to the UK from Scandinavia in the 1920′s.
Over the years the original principles have evolved and the concept is the most common form of timber build today, representing over 95% of new timber buildings.
Considerations such as sustainability, energy savings, build speed and design flexibility have made it the world’s most popular method of house building.
